PASS SQL Azure VC Meeting - Jan 2011

The PASS SQL Azure Virtual Chapter will be having its first event for 2011 on Wednesday 12th January at 12:00 PM PT. The Live Meeting event, SQL Azure Performance, will be presented by Herve Roggero and will focus on various aspects of performance and scalability of SQL Azure, including the importance of connection pooling, data federation, performance measures and more.

Herve Roggero is the founder of Pyn Logic (a company focusing on advanced SQL Server security) and Blue Syntax Consulting (a company focusing on Azure Consulting and Training). Herve’s experience includes software development, architecture, database administration and senior management with both global corporations and startup companies. Over the last 15 years, Herve has worked in the Education, Financial, Health Care, Management Consulting and Database Security sectors. In his last full time position, Herve was a Director of Software Development at a health care company in Florida. He has been freelancing as a .NET and SQL Server Architect since 2007. Herve is a member of the ISSA. He holds multiple certifications, including an MCDBA, MCSE, MCSD. He also holds an MBA from Indiana University. Herve is heavily involved with the South Florida SQL Server community, speaks at multiple venues, co-authored Pro SQL Azure and runs SQL Saturday events in South Florida. He also promotes the use of Azure in many ways including through the development of training materials and consulting engagements.
