My Last Presentation For 2015

This Tuesday I will be one of the presenters at the Teleios event: Leveraging Microsoft Azure as part of your Cloud Journey. I will be discussing SQL Server in Azure VMs and Azure SQL Database so you can understand the options available for moving your SQL environment to Azure. Demonstrations will be done using the new Azure portal to show how to set up the environment and migrate databases from on premises to the two Azure options. Another presenter will be demonstrating how to setup a Domain Controller in Azure.

A New Journey

Unbeknownst to most people, I resigned from my Account Technology Strategist (ATS) position at Microsoft Trinidad and Tobago in October. The job, just like everything in life, had its ups and downs. I was not able to focus on some of the technology that I wanted to but, at the same time, I was able to learn a lot from being on the other side of the wall and seeing the world from a different point of view. I was able to get a refresher on technologies that I stopped focusing on, such as System Center, and also learn first-hand about new products and programs. Another great benefit of the positon was the friends that I made in the local Microsoft office and in the IT community.
